If I had a dollar for every woman who told me that they were going to hold off on investing in their appearance because they wanted to lose weight first, I'd be rich! Here's something you probably didn't know, but you can look amazing at ANY shape. It's really just a matter of knowing your shape and understanding what styles flatter it best.
So, how do you get to know your shape? It's as easy as 1-2-3.
All you'll need is soft measuring tape. If you don't have any, you can purchase it here. We also suggest wearing form fitting clothing, like leggings and a tank top with no bra. If your clothing is loose or bulky, you're not going to get accurate measurements. Keep in mind that when you're measuring, you should have the tape measure snug but not tight. You should be able to fit a finger under it.
Step 01. Measure your bust
Place the tape measure in the center of your chest at the widest part, which is usually right above your nipples. Wrap it around your back, going under your armpits and making sure the tape measure stays horizontal and doesn't twist.
Step 02. Measure your natural waist
Your natural waist is the smallest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button and under your rib cage. Make sure the tape measure is flat around your body, and then take the measurement in front.
Step 03. Measure your hips
Wrap the tape around your body, ensuring you go over the widest part of your buttocks, too. Keep the tape horizontal and flat against your body, and then take the measurement in front where the measuring tape meets itself.
